This isn't something I profess to be great at. I take a few pics, edit a couple videos and well some of them come out rather well (most don’t).
I’ll feature some old pieces taken from my very first few cameras, as well as more recent stuff captured on my latest bits of equipment, thrown in along the way with some of my many inspirations across the web.
Enjoy,
Vin-Su
I had the pleasure of working with some of the largest carnival bands for Notting Hill 2012.
Unlike previous years we (FutureStyles productions) didn’t work exclusive with PoisonUK. Instead we aimed to create a more inclusive Carnival video with footage from as many of the major bands as we could. We started off with Bachanalia, Shipwrecked, PoisonUK & Euphoria and moved around to the other bands that we saw along the route.
Here are a few pictures, I’ll post our Best of Carnival highlights video in a couple of days time.

Really eager to share these pictures with you all. Taken on a recent trip to Wales, will write up something much more substantial tomorrow.
To this day I believe that I was blessed with the best view in London town from my old apartment in east London. I was on the 7th floor with a wrap around balcony that afforded me near 360° view of the city.
Over the time I was there I witnessed some of the most breath taking sunsets. I took as many pictures as possible and as I rediscover them on old hard drives I will update the blog.
Most of these pics were either taken with my Canon HF-G10 video camera which takes wonderful pictures and my friend’s Fujifilm S200exr.
L said to me, “Nobody makes mixtapes any more”. She had a point, long gone were the days you’d sit by your radio and record the latest love songs for your love interest making sure to cut out the DJ before he ruined your perfect mix!
Burning CD’s long replaced this old tradition, but unless you were a dJ or had the right mixing software a random CD with 18 unmixed tracks required no effort and had less of a personal feel to it.
So last year I decided to learn to “DJ” and went out and bought myself an ION DISCOVER DJ system. I also set myself a challenge, I knew if left to my own devices a million different priorities would get in the way of me learning to mix properly. So I declared to all my friends that in 4 weeks time I would be holding an Old School Hip-Hop house party (at my Ghetto Penthouse).

The idea of me being laughed out of my own house in front of everyone who knew me was motivation enough to spend multiple hours on the decks at home each evening after work!
The party was a great success, even had a few offers to DJ at other people’s upcoming house parties. So a few weeks later with my new found skills I made a Neo-Soul mixtape for L, enjoy.

Last weekend I caught up with my good buddy Helen who had just got back from her home country Sweden. After a drink or two and me extolling the merits of my new cannon DSLR we ended up doing a spontaneous shoot.
I set up a portable 500watt work light and rigged its tripod up to about 5ft in height. It was the first time that I’ve used the light so couldn’t believe the amount of heat being generated from the bulb. I had to play around with the shutter speed to get it up fast enough so that the pictures wouldn’t be overexposed with the huge amount of light being put out from the bulb.
We shot in 3 different locations including one set outside which you can see is the black & white shot.
Overall I was pretty pleased with the results and Helen is a good model so it made my job all the more easier.
I recently came across this old school Canon-AV1 camera while doing a clear up at my late mother’s house. It was first produced by Canon in 1979 and was one of the first ever models to use the instant fully detachable lens system. If you’re a canon user or perhaps even a user of another popular DSLR brand you’ll be familiar with the system of lining up the red dot (or other symbol) on the lens with the camera to attach them together.
For some reason this picture reminds me of Israel don’t quite know why! Unfortunately it isn’t Bethlehem, it’s the town hall clock tower in the London bourough of Barking. Built in 1958 the imposing Georgian style building sits in the town square surrounded by a new housing and social development called the rope works building.
The picture was taken from my old apartment which was located directly opposite the tower. It made for a very handy clock!
This was one of the very first photographs I’ve with an SLR camera.
Generally I prefer to capture pictures and footage of people. There is something about capturing peoples expressions and emotions which I just love. However occasionally my attention is diverted to breathtaking sunsets like the ones seen here.
All taken in Grenada, up on a hill directly behind my home.
As much as I’d love to lay claim to these wonderful shots all the credit goes to Miss L.K. who has a very keen eye for all things flora (unlike myself).
Some of these beautiful flowers are from my homeland Grenada while the rest were from the amazing Kew Gardens in the UK.
While in Grenada a few weeks ago my very good friend asked me if I’d like to do a photo shoot with her. Great, my first ever shoot was on the cards. So loaded up my camera bag with my two new lenses and drove down to meet her in Grand Anse. we meet up we swapped cars and drove towards Fort Judy in great haste in an attempt to get in at least half an hour or shooting before the sun went down.
